About Department

This department is interdisciplinary, aiming to impart quality education to students and preparing the prospective engineers to shoulder key positions in vital industries and departments of national and international importance. Further, it endeavors to promote interaction with the industry and to take up R&D activities for the betterment of society. The department offers instruction in subjects relating to Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and promotes R&D activities in related areas, collaborating with industries, wherever possible. The students are exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the subjects through laboratory work and periodic industrial visits. The students are encouraged to participate and present papers in national level technical seminars. Computer aided software packages with multiple-choice questions are used by the students for self-study and evaluation. In order to inculcate organizational skills, leadership qualities, professionalism and ethics in the students, various co curricular activities, seminars, special lectures and group discussions are organized on a regular basis. As part of industrial and practical exposure, visits to various process control industries are arranged. Industrial training is imparted to the students during summer and winter vacations.
